Senior Dating in London
Nine million people, and somehow it can still be hard to meet the right one. London has more of our UK members than any other part of the country, and they are looking for exactly what you are: someone their own age to share the city with.
Londoners over 50 are busy people. There are grandchildren to collect, theatre matinees, allotments, volunteering and part-time work, and the social circle that once came with the office has quietly faded. Our London members chose a site built for older singles so they could talk to people at the same stage of life.
More women than men, and good news for both
In London there are about two women for every man on the site. The women fall into two clear groups: one in their forties and fifties, and another over 65. The men sit between the two, mostly aged 55 to 64, which means a man of that age could get on with a woman a little younger or a little older.
For a man in that age bracket, London is an encouraging place to be. For women, it helps to be the one who makes the first move, to set an age range that is realistic but not too narrow, and to write a profile that gives a man something easy to reply to. A line about the walk you love on a Sunday, or the exhibition you have been meaning to see, works better than a list of adjectives.

Someone who's kind and trustworthy I like the seaside here and abroad. Being with someone who has no expectations and just see what happens I like adventures and being with my dogs

I am an active, happy, fun loving person who enjoys new experiences. Looking for a liberal, like minded woman who loves to travel and explore new places. I like fine dining as much as camping with no electric. Love exploring new towns, new parks, comedy shows, improv, science fiction and fantasy, historical home tours, botanical gardens, paddling, hiking and live theatre. Would like a woman who is also flexible and willing to try new things. I think having activities you enjoy together is very important, and keeping active together will keep us young! I am healthy, on no medications, and very financially stable. My financial goals require me to work a few more years, but I work remote so I am able to travel and work. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.

At 75, I've gathered a treasure trove of stories and laughter to share. I love cooking up a storm in the kitchen or getting lost in a good book. Whether it’s an afternoon at the movies or exploring arts and culture, I'm all about enjoying life's simple pleasures. If you're up for a chat over a glass of wine or a documentary binge, let’s connect!

The magic for me happens when I’m completely myself, surrounded by people who appreciate honesty and laughter. I get excited by creativity, travel, and discovering new places. Simple joys—good food, deep conversations, a beautiful sunset—make me truly happy.

Hello, I am a calm man of my word and I am optimistic, relaxed, a good listener and I enjoy sharing my big warm smile. I look forward to every new day and I approach it positively, shine, rain or snow. I value honesty, good communication and there are many simple things in life that make me happy from music, dance, arts, walking, exhibitions, sports, good conversations to just having a nice cup of coffee and a flapjack. Are you an awesome lady who is optimistic, warm, easy-going, a bit cheeky, likes a good laugh and does not take life too seriously? If this describes you drop me a message and let the mystery be our guide, much love x

Green London: the best parks for a first walk
London is one of the greenest big cities in Europe, and a park makes an ideal first meeting: free, public, and easy to cut short or stretch out.
- Richmond Park for open skies, deer and the view from King Henry's Mound. Pick a short loop from one of the gates rather than the full circuit.
- Hampstead Heath, with Parliament Hill's famous view over the city, and the quieter corners towards Kenwood.
- Greenwich Park, up to the Royal Observatory and back down to the river, with the Thames Path on your doorstep.
- Regent's Park in June, when the rose garden is at its best.
- Kew Gardens for a longer second date, with glasshouses to dodge the rain.
If the weather does what British weather does, head indoors. The National Gallery, the British Museum and the V&A are all free to enter, and wandering a gallery side by side is far less intense than staring at each other over a table. There are more ideas in our guide to first date ideas for seniors.
Thirty-two boroughs, one search radius
Distance means something different in London. Five miles from Bromley to Croydon is a bus or two; five miles from Ealing to Islington can feel like a day trip. When you set up your profile, choose the distance you are happy to travel, and the site sticks to it in your searches and in the matches it suggests each day.
Inner Londoners often find ten miles is plenty. If you live in an outer borough such as Barnet, Bexley, Harrow, Kingston or Havering, try fifteen or twenty, which brings in parts of Surrey, Kent, Essex or Hertfordshire as well as the centre. The M25 is a line on a map, not a reason to miss someone.
Off-peak, unhurried and often free to get there
Once you reach state pension age, a London Freedom Pass gives free travel on the Tube, buses and most rail services in the capital, with some limits before the morning rush. That changes the way you date: a weekday lunch in town costs nothing to get to, and the trains are quieter at eleven than at eight. A weekday meeting suits a retired diary nicely. If you drive, pick somewhere outside the congestion zone with parking nearby, such as a high street in the suburbs, rather than battling into the West End.
Whichever way you travel, the usual sensible rules apply: somewhere public, a friend who knows your plans, and no lifts from someone you have only just met. Our safety page explains what the site does to protect you too, including warnings if someone pushes to move the chat to WhatsApp.
