Is it free to join?
Joining costs nothing. Once you are in you can fill in your profile, look through other members and receive suggestions, and you can send some messages each day. Paying for VIP or VIP Plus is up to you.
What is the difference between the free account, VIP and VIP Plus?
VIP lifts the cap on messages and brings advanced search filters, chat rooms and a list of the people who like you. VIP Plus goes further, with exclusive matches and top billing in other members' daily suggestions. The features page lays the levels out side by side.
How much does VIP cost?
VIP costs £18.49 for a week and £24.95 for a month. Longer plans cost less per month. Every plan length is on the pricing page.
Does my plan renew?
Weekly, monthly, three-month and six-month plans renew when their period ends. A twelve-month plan is a single payment and does not renew.
Do I have to be over 50?
No. The site is made with older singles in mind, yet any adult can join.
Can I join from another country?
You can. Members join from several countries, and prices in other currencies are on the pricing page.
Privacy and safety
Will other members see where I live?
No. Your address and live location are never shown, only your nearest town or city, and your real name and email stay hidden from other members.
Do I have to verify my identity?
It is your choice. Checking your identity costs nothing and earns a badge, and you can also ask the team to validate your profile without sending documents.
How do I block or report someone?
Do it from inside the site. Blocking a member means they can no longer contact or see you, and reporting sends the profile or content to the team for action.
What if someone asks me to move to WhatsApp or to send money?
Be wary. The site alerts you to attempts to move a conversation to an outside app, and you should never send money, gift cards or bank details. Report the member. The safety page has more.
Using the site
How does the site choose who to suggest?
The site looks at your age range, who you want to meet, distance, recent activity, the relationship you are after, lifestyle habits and shared interests, then puts the best fits in front of you each day.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. It works in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer. Dedicated phone apps exist only in selected markets.
